1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at blackthornegolfclub.com (the “Site”) and any tee-time bookings, event sign-ups, or other services offered by Blackthorne Golf Club (“Blackthorne,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or booking a tee time, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Tee-time bookings
All tee times at Blackthorne must be booked online through this Site, including walk-ups (who may book from their phone on arrival). The one exception is same-day tee times within one (1) hour of tee-off, which must be booked by phone at (724) 325-2052 or in person at the pro shop so the booking can be confirmed in real time. The information you provide at booking — name, phone number, email, party size, and any optional rider count or notes — must be accurate.
Bookings are confirmed instantly. A confirmation email and a confirmation SMS will be sent to the contact details you provide. You are responsible for arriving on time and for the conduct of everyone in your group while on the course.
3. Pricing and payment
Current per-person green fees, rider fees, and any surcharges are shown on the Tee Times page at the time of booking. A 10% same-day fee applies to bookings made on the same calendar day as the tee time, and to walk-ups; the fee is added automatically at checkout.
Payment may be made online at the time of booking, or in person at our temporary facility on the day of your round. Non-playing riders age 5 and up are $10 per rider, paid on arrival.
4. Rain vouchers and weather cancellations
If your round is cancelled for weather (or other course-side cause) before you have started, we will issue a rain voucher code redeemable on a future online booking. Vouchers are non-transferable except by club approval and have no cash value.
Rounds that have already started are not eligible for vouchers unless the course is closed mid-round by staff for safety reasons.
5. Days, hours, and course access
Blackthorne is open Wednesday through Sunday, plus holiday Mondays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, and similar). Tuesdays are always closed. Mondays are otherwise closed. Hours and days are subject to change while the new clubhouse is being built; the current schedule is always posted on the Site.
Tee times may be unavailable on specific dates due to private events, weather, course maintenance, or capacity limits. We do not guarantee any specific availability beyond what the booking system shows at the time you book.
6. SMS messaging
By providing your mobile phone number when booking a tee time, you consent to receive transactional and operational text messages from Blackthorne related to that booking. These messages typically include a booking confirmation, a pre-tee-time reminder, and, where applicable, follow-up texts coordinating cart assignment.
Message frequency varies but is normally 2–3 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not share or sell your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Golf cart liability
All play at Blackthorne is cart-based; walking is not currently permitted. The booking party is responsible for the golf cart(s) used by their group, including any damage that occurs during the round. Inspect the cart before leaving the staging area and notify staff of any existing damage; notify staff of any new damage before leaving the course at the end of your round.
Carts must remain at least 50 yards from all greens at all times and must be operated at walking pace when near other golfers. Operators must be of legal driving age in Pennsylvania or accompanied by an adult who is.
8. Code of conduct
Practice shots and repeat-shooting are not permitted. Each hole is to be played through once. Players caught practicing or repeat-shooting may be removed from the course and may be banned from future play.
Pace of play is expected — keep up with the group ahead of you. Staff may rearrange or skip groups to keep play moving.
9. 19th-hole skill contest
The 19th-hole skill contest is open exclusively to players completing the back nine or the full 18, confirmed at check-in. One attempt per qualifying round. Today’s prize amount and contest format are posted at the 19th tee. The club reserves the right to change or discontinue the contest at any time.
10. Eligibility and minors
The Site is intended for users 13 and older. Tee-time bookings made on behalf of minors must be submitted by a parent, guardian, or accompanying adult using their own contact information. The accompanying adult is responsible for the minor’s conduct and the group’s cart(s).
11. Refusal of service
Blackthorne reserves the right to refuse service, cancel a booking, or remove any person from the course for unsafe behavior, intoxication, harassment of staff or other guests, violations of the cart policy, or repeated violations of our Rules & Regulations. In these cases, no refund or rain voucher will be issued.
12. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including the Blackthorne logo, course photography, written copy, and design — is the property of Blackthorne Golf Club or its licensors and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without our prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial sharing on social media is welcome.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and all services offered through it are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blackthorne Golf Club and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, your tee-time booking, or your time on the course. Our total liability for any direct damages arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid Blackthorne in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Golf is a physical activity carried out in a natural environment with weather, wildlife, and the inherent risks of struck golf balls. You play at your own risk.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Blackthorne Golf Club and its owners, employees, and contractors against any third-party claim or liability arising from your booking, your conduct on the course, your group’s conduct on the course, or your breach of these Terms or our Rules & Regulations.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted at this URL with the effective date at the top updated accordingly. The Terms were last updated on May 18, 2026. Continued use of the Site or future bookings after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
